Choral Conducting Masterclass with Prof. Theodora Pavlovitch
After 6 years, Bulgarian choral conducting meastero Professor Theodora Pavlovitch visits Hong Kong again to conduct choral conducting masterclass. As a regular member of juries at international choral competitions, Prof. Pavlovitch shall teach from her extensive experience on six selected a cappella pieces, with an aim to improve students on conducting technique as well as interpretation of the pieces.

Application Method

Submit the application together with a 5-minute video of conducting in a rehearsal setting for selection by 16 June 2024. Successful applicants shall be informed by 23 June 2024. Seat would be reserved until 30 June 2024 until full payment of the application fee is settled.
Observing Student
Submit the application form before 30 June 2024 and settle the payment in full. Bring the payment receipt in exchange for an admission pass on the first day of class (21/7/2024).
Limited quota on a first-come-first-served basis.

Conducted the World Youth Choir
Theodora Pavlovitch is a Professor in choral conducting at the Bulgarian National Academy of Music and Sofia University. She has been conductor of Vassil Arnaoudov Sofia Chamber Choir since 1991, and a permanent conductor of Classic FM Radio Mixed Choir since 2005.
Prof. Pavlovitch was the former Vice-President of the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM). She is a regular member of Juries at international choral competitions, and a lecturer at different music events in Europe, USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. She led a Masterclass in conducting at the 7th World Symposium on Choral Music in 2005. In 2007/2008 she conducted a Session of the World Youth Choir, and was honoured by UNESCO with the title Artist for Peace.
